Our Grade 4 students recently visited the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nürnberg as part of their Unit of Inquiry, Where We Are in Place and Time, with a focus on Ancient Civilizations.
During the visit, students explored historical artifacts up close and examined how objects from the past help us understand the lives, values, and perspectives of earlier societies. Through observation, guided discussion, and reflection, they considered how civilizations continue to influence the world we live in today.
The excursion offered a valuable hands-on learning experience, bringing classroom inquiry into a real-world context and deepening students’ understanding of history through direct engagement.
