Last week, our Grade 12 Geography students turned Venice into a living classroom. Off the main routes, they discovered independent galleries that you won’t find on Google Maps. On the ground, they tested predictions against what they observed – running a quick “Gelato Index” to compare prices and favorite flavors across neighborhoods, revealing how location, foot traffic and brand identity shape what we pay for the same dessert. Not everything was sweet (mosquitoes and blisters made an appearance), but curiosity, teamwork, and good humour carried the day.
