This week, we welcomed parents into our primary classrooms for a unique opportunity to experience education in action. Guided by our Primary and Senior Leadership Teams, parents explored a variety of lessons, witnessing the inquiry-based approach that forms the foundation of the PYP.
The two-hour session began with a preparation meeting, equipping participants with key insights into what to look for during their walkthrough. Small groups then ventured into classrooms to observe the dynamic learning environments firsthand, followed by a reflective debrief where thoughts and experiences were shared.
We received a lot of positive feedback from parents about the opportunity to gain such an in-depth view of learning at FIS. We deeply value our parents’ commitment and time, as well as the strong home-school partnership we are building together. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible!
