Substitute Teacher

Contract Type: Mini-job or freelance basis

Responsibilities

Substitute for absent teachers on a short term basis
Follow lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher
Maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment
Supervise students throughout the school day
Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school policies
Communicate any important information or incidents to school administration

The ideal candidate

Relevant university degree in Education or teaching qualification
Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and grade levels
Reliable, professional, and punctual
Very good English skills are essential, German skills are an advantage
Availability on minimum three days per week
Valid and unrestricted work permit for Germany, and based within a reasonable commuting distance of the school
