Responsibilities
- Plan, teach, and assess following the FIS curriculum
- Facilitate successful student access to the FIS curriculum by removing barriers to individual students’ learning through the development of skills and strategies
- Track students’ progress and maintaining active communication with families
- Use data/evidence provided to develop and provide support in a proactive manner
- Fulfil responsibilities as outlined in the FIS Learning Support Specialist Job Description
The ideal candidate
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Teaching qualification with a valid teaching license (where applicable)
- Relevant university degree and/or relevant additional qualifications for supporting students with identified exceptionalities/special educational needs
- Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Commitment to student-centered learning and inquiry-based teaching
- Experience with the IB PYP curriculum preferred
- Experience in an international school environment an advantage
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience in Learning Support preferred
