Responsibilities

  • Further develop and oversee the implementation of a career exploration program as a part of the Secondary School curriculum

  • Advise students individually and in groups to align their goals, IB course choices, and future pathways
  • Organize career-related events such as guest talks, alumni sessions, and Careers Days
  • Oversee the Work Experience program and maintain student portfolio systems (e.g., Unifrog)
  • Provide information and support for university and non-university pathways, including technical colleges, gap years, and entrepreneurship
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with universities, employers, and alumni to expand real-world opportunities
  • Support students and teachers with university applications, reference letters, and admissions processes
  • Stay current on labor market trends and global higher education systems to guide students effectively

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria

  • University degree in Education, Career Counseling, or a related field, with professional training or relevant experience in career guidance in an international school setting
  • Proficiency with career guidance platforms, data management systems, and cloud-based productivity and collaboration tools
  • Strong intercultural awareness and ability to navigate diverse cultural perspectives
  • Excellent communication skills for one-on-one advising, small groups, and large group presentations
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and confidential information
  • Skilled in using data and evidence to guide decision-making and student support
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and time management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
