Dear Parents,
The PTO Welcome Committee would like to have you as a Buddy Family! The idea is for you to offer your help to newcomers, if needed.
When a new family arrives at the FIS, it is always of great help if there is an opportunity for them to meet an existing family from their home country, who can give them tips and/or answer various types of questions. This is especially important at the beginning when they are settling in.
An email or call can help them with their first queries. It is up to you how much time you want to invest. It is all about letting them feel welcome and building a community.
Please let us know if you would like to help out. You can send us an email with your name and surname indicating which is your home country and the age of your children to .
We are sure that this will make them feel more comfortable and make their start much easier!
Even if you already were a Buddy last year, please sign up for this year because you won’t automatically stay a Buddy.
