Advanced Music Club

This is a High-Energy, Fun, Exciting Way to Experience Music

Stomping, drumming, beating, moving – this is a music club like you’ve never seen before! Intended for advanced young music-learners, children in this program will explore the joy of music-making through highly interactive music activities that engage the mind, body, and heart. African Drumming, Beethoven Symphonies, Pop Song Harmonies, and Music Improvisation are just some of the topics we will cover. Ultimately, this club will strengthen children’s confidence, coordination, concentration, and overall musicality. The club will be led by David Seay, the elementary school music teacher at the FIS. Mr. Seay has a Master of Music from the Nürnberg Musikhochschule, and has also studied music teaching methodology at the Kodály Institute of Hungary and the Dalcroze School of the Rockies.

Please note: This club is intended for students who already play an instrument and/or demonstrate advanced capacities in music. Please see Mr. Seay if you have any questions.
