Model United Nations
The Model United Nations is an international school based simulation of the United Nations that aims to educate participants about civics, communication, globalization and diplomacy. Students research a country and take on roles as diplomats in a simulated session of an intergovernmental organization (IGO).
On this program our students meet every week to discuss many of the world's most pressing issues and learn the skills they will need to take part in the MUN conferences in Munich, Stuttgart, Hamburg and elsewhere.
Students are assigned to a delegation and must write policy statements for each of the issues selected for the conference and then use them to prepare resolutions.
Our students gain a more thorough understanding of complex political, economic, environmental and humanitarian global issues; learn to use complex, diplomatic and legal English; understand the rules of parliamentary procedure and gain an insight into alternative cultural perspectives.
