Counseling
Although students are encouraged to talk to their teachers when seeking advice and assistance in everyday matters, if students have personal issues they would like to address confidentially, they may make an appointment to talk with the FIS Guidance Counsellor. Likewise, students may be referred by a teacher or parent to speak with the Counsellor. The Counsellor also works with students, parents and teachers on matters concerning school behaviour and academic issues, and works closely with the Head of Student Support Services in assisting students in obtaining the testing and resources they may require. Post-secondary and career counseling are also an integral part of the guidance program.
