The Franconian International School is located in the Roethelheimpark, a development in the university town of Erlangen. While family-friendly and well-serviced, Erlangen has a sophisticated and lively youth culture, and is only minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage town of Bamberg and Bavaria's second largest city, Nuremberg. Europe's major cities are only hours away, thanks to extensive rail and road links.
High tech, history, culture, shopping, entertainment, family activities; outdoor activities from cycling, riding, climbing, canoeing and walking in the nearby national park of the Franconian Switzerland or enjoying internationally famous festivals, palaces, castles and museums; from ancient Celtic and Roman remains, medieval markets, baroque concerts to high-tech night spots - the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region has it all.
